Hello everyone, we're here with an unfortunate update about our previously announced January 12th, 2022 SF Sketchfest live podcast. As explained in the attached audio, our live podcast, along with the rest of San Francisco Sketchfest, has been postponed for this year out of concerns about the rising number of Omicron cases.
Here's their official announcement: "Due to the rising number of Omicron cases, we’re sorry to announce the postponement of the 2022 SF Sketchfest. Bringing people together to laugh and celebrate comedy is what SF Sketchfest does best. Until it is safe to do so, the festival will hit pause on the events planned for January 2022."
It's very unfortunate and we apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment for all of you who were looking forward to this show. We still hope to return to doing live shows in 2022 and will keep you all informed about any plans we may have.
As we cover perhaps Lisa's most celebrated episode, we're joined by the great author/host of the Arden podcast, Emily VanDerWerff! The Simpsons get a new substitute teacher voiced by a pseudonymous Dustin Hoffman, and it exposes the deep pains in Lisa's relationship with Homer. All that plus Bart demands more asbestos in school in this very heartfelt classic episode of TV!
This week we welcome the great Bryan Quinby from Street Fight Radio and The P.O.D.cast to discuss this sequel episode to Maude's death! Ned is having trouble moving on with his life, and that somehow leads him to build an amusement park in an episode that went through a major rewrite. Learn all about that, ice cream socials, disco heavens, gas leaks, and more in this week's saintly podcast!
Once more we've got Alex Navarro from Nextlander returning, and he's here to give us insight as a person who plays drums AND worked on The Beatles: Rock Band! As Marge rediscovers her artistic talent, Homer wants to lose weight, and somehow Ringo Starr solves all of their problems. So join us for discussions on water parks, weight loss, artistic talents, drumming ability, the word "genitalia" and so much more!
It's the end of the month once again, which means it's time for another community podcast! This time around, we roll into the holiday season and discuss that new Disney+ short, the show's Fargo-inspired two-parter, Smithers' boyfriend, debunked 9/11 theories, the oral history of The Simpsons: Road Rage, and more. Plus, we go over our revised 2022 schedule and briefly review Netflix's Cowboy Bebop! And, as always, we respond to your questions and comments from our most recent round of episodes. So slather yourself in anti-bully salad dressing and get ready to listen to another great podcast!
We welcome back the fantastic artist Nina Matsumoto to help us chart out season 12's most ambitious episode! It's Simpsons meets Go and Run, Lola, Run in a complex adventure covering the family's difficult day. We've got severed thumbs, pedantic robots, fireworks exploding, and so much more. So listen now before we get started on the Blue Man Group!
